Community Services

JCS supports and facilitates programs and activities designed to improve mental health challenges, support and improve participants physical health and emotional wellbeing and increase social connections within our communities. Many activities for seniors are geared to frail aged participants and are offered in our Mortdale Community Centre, as well as a variety of other locations. Our activities and programs include Adult Leisure Learning, our Knit in Social Group, Arts classes, Yoga, Jazzercise and gentle exercise classes catering to all ages and abilities.

JCS also operates Jubilee Child Care, a long day care service for families located alongside the Mortdale Community Centre and six Out of School Hours Care services across multiple locations. JCS delivers quality affordable children’s services for families.

Our friendly staff are available to answer any questions you may have during the hours of 9.00am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Please call for a chat or drop in to see our centre.

Adult Leisure Learning Classes

Adult Leisure Learning Classes are held at 2 locations over 2 days during school terms:

- Wednesday at Mortdale RSL Club, 25 Macquarie Place, Mortdale

- Thursday at Oatley RSL Club, Letitia Street, Oatley

A range of unlimited classes are offered to the community at a cost of $35.00 per term (class availability is subject to change):

  • Embroidered Cards
  • Mah Jong
  • Canasta
  • French
  • German
  • Art
  • Tai Chi (for all levels)

Grandparent, Parent and Carer Workshops

Every term we run workshops for carers caring for children from ages 0 – 12 years on various topics like child development, behavioral management and the early year development phases like teething, toilet training and eating habits. 

Volunteer Voice Committee

Our Volunteer Voice Committee are the backbone of our organisation. They work tirelessly all year round fundraising to support the provision of free and low cost community programs reaching all ages. They are  also instrumental in supporting the activities of the Adult Leisure Learning Programs. 

 

Jubilee Arts For Mental Health (Jamh):

JAMH  – these are community outreach groups which run every school term for adults experiencing mental health distress or carers of others experiencing mental health distress.
