Jubilee Arts For Mental Health (JAMH)
Since forming in late 2005 as a partnership of mental health service providers and consumers in the St George region, supported by Georges River Council, a JAMH committee comprising representatives from New Horizons, St George Division of Mental Health, Georges River Council, Jubilee Community Services, and various individual consumers has developed and conducted a number of projects and programs leading to exhibitions, special events, involvement in local festivals and Art Tutor traineeships.
GROW is a free, peer to peer, 12-step program for people looking for support with their mental health and well-being.
Meeting weekly every Tuesday at 12:30 pm in the Mortdale Community Hall at 2b – 2c Boundary Road Mortdale 2223 NSW.
JAMH aims to achieve greater access to and participation in quality arts and cultural development initiatives for adults who have direct or indirect experience of living with mental illness.
JAMH was previously known as MHAD and holds most of their groups with our partner organisation the St George Creative Art and Craft Centre, 23 Georges Road, Penshurst, NSW 2222.
The Mind Body Soul is a mental health peer support group hosted by JCS Inc. all year round with the aim of supporting people’s mental health recovery journey with the intent of increasing their quality of life. It is staffed by experienced mental health practitioners from St George Community Health.
